Black White & Blues is a celebration in portraiture. Text and music of an American institution. Based on archive produced over a twelve year period by photographer Marc Norberg, this volume of seventy eight portraits is a work in progress whose goal is to build a stronger understanding not only of the blues, but of the musicians themselves.
From B.B. King to the "Queen of the Blues", Koko Taylor, Norberg's extraordinary portraits in this monograph capture the spirit, the soul and the passion of these musicians in a way no other photographer has done before.
For the Blues afficionado, the intimacy and clarity of these portraits allows easy recall of the music these artists have created. For the those new to the blues, this book will provide a cherished guide for the listening experience to come.
