JoAnna James
Hi everyone!
I'm thrilled to say my viral respiratory infection has officially left the building and my voice is back. Thus, I'm gonna be celebrating this Thursday night at the Nomad World Pub. Yes, that's right--in just two short days from now, I will be joined by the following musicians who amaze me every single time I get to perform with them: Zac Selissen (guitar), Ben Foote (bass), Lizzie Brown (vocals), Jessy Greene (violin), and Heiruspecs drummer, Peter Leggett will also be sitting in with us!
We will be starting our set at 10pm, and then the awesome Elizabeth McQueen from Austin, TX will be taking the stage at 11. And guess what? If you come to this show, you might get to be on a DVD! There will be a live film crew taping this show and all of the great folks in attendance, shakin their booties. more...

Slick Ballinger
Recently signed with OhBoy! Records and fresh from touring with B.B. King, the spirit of the blues moves Slick Ballinger like the spirit of the Lord moves a preacher. Hailed by many as a prodigy, he is in the midst of transforming into a deep bluesman. His intense love and appreciation of Traditional Blues led the native North Carolinian to make numerous pilgrimages to Mississippi, Arkansas, and Memphis, Tennessee, fueling his musical ability along the way. At the ripe old age of 19, he has played with legendary artists: Pinetop Perkins, "Steady Rollin Bob Margolin, Big Bill Morganfield, Blind Mississippi Morris, Paul Wine Jones and North Carolinas, Algia Mae Hinton, Tad Walters, and Waymon Buttermilk Meeks. Pinetop Perkins calls him, My Little Bluesman. more...
