Renee Austin
Renee receives WC Handy Award Nomination
Renee Austin - has been nominated for W.C. Handy Awards in the "Best New Artist Debut" category. Minneapolis-based singer Austin was nominated for her awesome vocal and songwriting talents on her Blind Pig CD entitled "Sweet Talk". The W.C. Handy Awards, regarded as the highest honor in the blues field, are produced by the Memphis-based Blues Foundation, a non-profit organization established to "Preserve, Celebrate and Support" Blues history, Blues excellence and Blues education. The Handy Awards Show will take place in Memphis on April 29.

Albert Cummings
Albert Cummings will be appearing at the Professional Builder Convention in Las Vegas for the second year. Cummings will be the only band performing, outside in the Habit For Humanity display. The Profesional Builders Convention is the largest convention of professional builders and suppliers in the US and is staged by Reed Business Information and Housingzone.com.
Highlights of the outdoor portion of the 3 day event include:
2 HOMES CONSTRUCTED
during a four-day building blitz, then moved to the convention center and donated to Habitat for Humanity.
1 HOME BUILT BY REMODELERS
from around the country at the convention center three days before the International Builders' Show.
1 HOME CONSTRUCTED
in partnership with Georgia-Pacific and donated to HomeAid America.
BLOCK PARTIES EVERY NIGHT
including food, drinks and music.
HOME DEDICATIONS
for both charities.

Soul Fixin' Foundation
UTR and Michael Widner are excited to announce the formation of a new foundation called the Soul Fixin' Foundation in honor of the Soul Fixin' man himself, Luther Allison. The foundation director is Carolyn "Rocky" Brown, Luther's life partner.
