Press Release:
Twin Cities Based Band Selected to Play for the 2005 Presidential Inauguration January 14, 2005 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Twin Cities based band, CBO (Casablanca Orchestra) has been selected to play for the 55th Presidential Inauguration, Thursday, January 20th 2005, in Washington D.C.
In September of 2004 Schroeder (sax player for CBO) met the Bush twins, Jenna & Barbara, on a flight from Minneapolis to Chicago. President Bush's daughters had just completed a campaign stop in Edina.
During this chance encounter, Schroeder wished the President and his family the best of luck on the up coming election, and said if the President needed a band to play for his Inaugural Ball, what better choice than the "Casablanca Orchestra"? (which of course translates to the "White House Orchestra") He then gave them a business card and said he'd follow up by sending them a couple of copies of the groups new CD,"Covered". more...
